Didier Deschamps, the current boss of the french national team, reveals where Zidane will go after resigning yestarday, as coach of Real Madrid following his team’s 3rd consecutive winning of the Champions League.
According to him, ZINEDINE ZIDANE will one day be the manager of the French national team.
The Frenchman cited the need for a new voice in the dressing room after winning nine trophies in two and a half years, and will look for a new challenge.
His last act as Madrid boss was beating Liverpool 3-1 in Saturday’s Champions League final for his third European Cup success in three seasons.
Zidane has already been linked with the Chelsea job should Antonio Conte leave the Blues, possibly even to take over at the Bernabeu.
But Deschamps believes leading the national team is Zidane’s ultimate goal.
“It’s not me who holds the keys (to the national team), it’s my president,” Deschamps said.
“I don’t know what he (Zidane) has decided. For now, I think he wants to enjoy his rest, his family and loved ones.
“He will be coach at some point. When? I cannot say, but that seems logical to me. It will happen when it happens.”
